Default where good to live in burlington?

We are trying to find a rental property in Burlington - not having much luck!
We were wanting a place south side of the QEW and had found somewhere but we got turned down! To what reason we're clueless - i think it was the 3 little kiddies that put them off! Does anyone know of decent areas south and north side of QEW? Or even more perfect a rental with a decent price tag ready to move into?!

We did want a place within walking distance of shops - dare i say a pub/bar etc but i think we have had a reality check and want now anywhere that is child friendly! We are staying with the inlaws in Waterloo and have been for 4 weeks now - so you can see the urgency!

Failing Burlington, Oakville it will be!

TA!

You could go the other way (geographically), there are lots of rentals around the Clarkson and Port Credit GO stations all within walking distance of shops and bars.
