gets me every time in timmies
lightly toasted everything bagel with garlic and herb cheese please

Its just one of those things I suppose......that one can have quick rant over and say oh well and move on.
Bit like my why do many Canadians call wasps bees! Doesnt really bother me, it is what it is, and we notice it because its different from our neck of the woods.

The people posting on this thread must have perfect, trouble free lives allowing them to take time to comment on such a picayune matter as the pronunciation of the word herb.
Even more ironic as they all come from a country where the dropping of consonants is a national pastime.

Totally agree, if I started to list life's woes, I would probably start searching for something to jump off However, I am presently choosing to get my priorities in order and am therefore just gently knashing my teeth at the Timmies ads...

Thought of you lot yesterday when I was trying to buy a 'croissant aux amandes'; the pronunciation of croissant wasn't the problem - the fact that it's called an 'amandine' here was.
