After a 22 hour day I was doing a radio check on a stopped car at about 4am and had to read out my callsign over the air. What should have come out as:
"Yankee from whisky kilo eight five, over"
Actually came out as:
"Yankee from w*nky keely eight five, over"
My colleague thought it was funny
"Yankee from whisky kilo eight five, over"

"Yankee from w*nky keely eight five, over"

Had a 'school for the gifted' moment today when nearly walked into glass doors. Backed up & tried again & they still didn't open - then noticed it was the exit...

I looked in the bathroom cabinet for a fresh tube of shower gel tonight and spied OH's shave gel that he left behind when he departed for Van.
I am not sure what came over me but I thought "Well, if it's good enough for his face....."
That menthol thing gives a strange tingle - I am not sure I will try it again

Not sure if this is a had to be there moment but:
Canoeing on the lake for the 1st time with DD.
She decided she wanted a picture of a duck on the lake.
We start canoeing towards the duck (blinking things disappear and pop up miles away when you get close).
I decide we need a duck hunting theme tune....Cue Piff da da da daing the Hawaii 5 oh tune. Teen Piff thinks her Mum has lost the plot.
We then get to the middle of the lake (it's pretty calm really) and we try to turn a slight right, but the wind has picked up a bit and the current and very slight waves are slightly tipping us left - teen Piff is trying to take pictures and tipping us more.
I blurt, if you don't stop doing that and tipping us with the waves I'm going to get out (remember no waves, remember middle of the lake)
Teen Piff relies, go on them Mum, where you gonna go?
It was so funny and we had such a laugh.
The whole time we were canoeing we were the only ones on the lake as it was after labour day, we could just imagine the villagers looking out the window at us thinking those crazy Brits...
