Whey it depends on whe ah'm taaking to hinny.

Seriously though, it does depend. I find the accent comes straight back when I'm in the Toon for a visit. I think Canadians don't notice the geordie when I'm here, or if they do they probably think I'm South African or Australian or summat.

When I used to live in California they just called my accent english, which they luuurved, apparently.
