The Movenpicks in Switzerland are quite different..now if only they have the versions that they have on the Autobahn in Switzerland here on the 401.
the one in BCE used to be good about 7 years ago, its not up to much now
then it was at least in the ballpark of its swiss counterparts

I must admit the "fast food" highway side breakfasts in Switzerland are remarkable

That reminds me, Bleu Blanc Rouge in Vegas has good pork bellies, but the place there, perhaps the place anywhere, is Bouchon.

Talking of good restaurants, anyone got any suggestions for Washington (downtown - Georgetown area?). I have to suck up to some people (Aussies) in a few weeks. I know nothing of Washington, except one hotel near the airport.

There's a bar in Georgetown with a proper snooker table. Once I found that I looked no further.

(Perhaps I looked no farther, I'm unsure whether I was physically searching for a table or if it's a metaphor for the quest to rediscover the familiar things of childhood).

Always a tricky one. If distance is involved, you use farther. Further is best used in the context of progress (it's also a verb).

"I want to go farther in this organisation. To further that ambition, I will do an MBA in marketing, probably at Queens."

Clear now?

I'd look farther than Queen's.

There's no wrong thread for mocking Queen's but I'll make it topical. Apart from the many prison cafeterias, where is there to eat in Kingston?

Many nice restaurants in Kingston these days actually. You'd prefer Morrisons though.

I do like diners. Breakfast in America is one of my favourite things, but that place sounds rather a dump:

"We are used to the waitresses here being on the gruff side but this took that to a whole new level. Our waitress was definitely not friendly nor helpful. She did seem very busy and was running around like crazy. After placing our orders, she brought us a pile of silverware that still had food on it. When we managed to get her attention again, we explained that the siverware was dirty and requested new. Initially she wanted to tell us that it was just wet from the dishwasher but when we pointed out the chunks of food and the egg on them she walked away in a huff. Two minutes later, 5 forks and five knives came flying onto our table as she walked by the table, scattering as they landed. We were speechless. We debated walking out but figured that since we had placed our orders we really couldn't do that."

Do you go there often?
