Worried that you won't get the right kind of targeted marketing?

I find it's very difficult in my neighbourhood of outlet malls and taco restaurants to find a decent cravat these days. Especially one to tone with the string-backed driving gloves and tweed plus-fours...

The personalities they list are composites based on average data rather than a representation of what a typical person is. I'm not defending their stats because I haven't seen them, but nobody likes to admit to being in a marketing demographic - especially people that think they are above such things (myself included).

Of course. Nonetheless, the errors are glaring.
By observation I seem to live in an area of farms, mainly potato farms but some beef and dairy cattle. Statistics Canada has it as the least populated area of Southern Ontario. I would say that the primary occupation is "farmer". ENVIRONICS has this as "Middle-class town families and couples. I suggest that "town" implies buildings, there are few buildings.
The suburban postal code I tried is in an area where one may reasonably assume a person of colour to be there to cut the grass. ENVIRONICS has the population as "progressive and philanthropic members of cultural, political and environmental groups; one of their highest-rated values is an interest in diversity". This isn't such a howler as inventing buildings, nonetheless, I think any resident would titter at it.
Granted this stuff is intended as a bit of fun but I would have thought a cursory glance at the demographic data from the census would make it obvious that it's simply wrong.

Now that I warm to the theme I find that the Beach is oddly described. I'd say that it's a inner suburb of Toronto populated by affluent and self-regarding young families, dogs are everywhere, schnoodles, cockapoos, yakapoos, Great Danes, no mutts, no whippets. The population is overwhelming white and the area is something of an Anglo-Irish ghetto. "Urban Spice ... the first stop for blacks" might fairly describe Scarborough or Little India, a couple nearby districts but I used a postal code right in the centre of the Beach.
Allen Gardens, which seems to me to be populated by people sleeping rough, is optimistically classed as "Grads and Pads".
Sadly, I don't know a postal code at Jane and Finch, perhaps lmartin999 can see if ENVIRONICS has it confused with Forest Hill.

We're #10 Mr and Mrs Manager - just goes to show how wrong these things can be! It's wrong from the salary (unfortunately) and how we spend out spare time and the types of jobs we do - oh well someone down our street probably ticks all the boxes but I can't see who

This is us as well...
And from looking at the area we live in, it is fairly accurate as well.
But hey, it is a great area to live in with kids... good school locally, lots of other kids for them to play with and easy transit routes downtown for Mr Chookie.
It may be boring, but it works for us.
