Missing a decent curry and some peshwari naan.
Also school uniform for the kids- daughters driving me nuts every morning with choice of outfits, son wouldn't notice if he went in his pjs, mind you nor would his teacher.
Finally Touche Eclait.... .can't find it anywhere and I permanently look like I've not slept in weeks

and if you do get charged duty/taxes - scan the receipt you get from post office, send it to them and they refund it!

It's not that hard to get crisps and British chocolate in Calgary, I know of three shops, the best equipped of which is the British Pantry (OMG I had Frazzles for the first time in years the other day). Plus MacEwans has pork pies, bacon etc.
The main thing I get cravings for that I can't get here are Tesco's sandwiches, it's been so long since I've had them I can't even remember which varieties I used to like, the ham and mustard ones for sure but there were other ones I liked to. No-one has quite perfected prepared sandwiches like Tesco's and M&S.

Isn't Panorama on BBC World? Or PBS I think, I know I've seen it. There's a fair number of chippies in Calgary, although you pay more, plus McCain's is a Canadian company. The Sun is just as bad here as in the UK. (Although I was rather amused when the city put a "Don't be a tosser" anti-littering ad next to the Sunshine Girl on page 3 once.) Spray deodorant? What do you mean by "proper"? I use it all the time.

Apropos to missing things......
We're off back to UK in a couple of weeks for a vacation. I emailed some friends we'd like to catch up with and they invited us to stay for a night. The line in the email that said 'you and I should be able to sneak out for a swift pint or two down at the local' is too poignant for words. A swift pint? Proper beer? A local pub? I may have to decline the offer as it all may be a bit too much for me....
