If you are interested in military stuff, then the War Museum is a must-see, but I don't recommend the Army Museum -- I visited last year and found it disappointing. Wellington House, on the other hand, is well worth a visit, although the entrance fee is a bit steep for such a small museum.

The cabinet war rooms can be visited on Whitehall, I believe There's also the Paddock war rooms, but they're only open two or three days a year. The one time I was in London while they were open I had to work. |
Re: what to do in London UK
apologies if someone has already suggested, but I only roughly went through the last 7 pages......
take a train from London to Cambridge, shouldn't be that long....as it only takes an hour to drive it.....and have a lovely walk around all the colleges, go on a river punt, its worth paying a guy to punt for u was 25 quid a few years ago, he will give u the talk on the history of the colleges....we lived near Cambridge for 20 odd years and never did it.....we went back to visit family and friends and took the trip, it was so much fun!! http://www.lindsayfincher.com/extrem...cambridge.html |

Speaking of tombs, Highgate Cemetery is well worth a visit if you're into dead people.
Eh I shouldn't judge, just because a person is "into dead people" doesn't make them .......... |
