Ahhhh.......Thanks you guys!!!
I have cleared the garage and bought some plastic to go on the floor....now we will see what fits in!!!!!
I was in a state of panic thinking we would be climbing over boxes to get to bed...or anywhere else for that matter!!! but looking at the garage I think we will manage. It's only for 8 weeks
Thanks both of you .......that is a very kind offer.
Does that offer extend to children

She'd like an elephant...never forgets and boy can she hold a grudge!!!
But never mind, in approx 45 mins, my son is off on a play date to a farm.....lots of snow tunnels to be dug with his friend. I don't get him back until about 7pm!!!
Myself and my baby are off for a girlie day at West Ed Mall....we don't get much time on our own, so it will be nice.
I am not use to them being away from me.......I will miss him after a couple of hours....I must be mad!!!

Hey Linda, get ready for many turbulent years then! My daughter is 9 and is exactly the same....strong willed and stubborn, overly sensitive, remembers EVERYTHING that was said and done to her over the years and has difficulty forgiving. I love her to bits and I call her my baby-girl....but she is definitely the cause of my high stress levels! Watch this space....I'll be posting for parental advice for her soon

Any Guns Gangstas or Hos in tow?

Yes he did come home (although reluctantly) but that was our deal on the matter that he go but come home. He said it was a pretty good night (he was definitely more enthusiastic post Motley Crue concert though
). All in all a good concert, lots of (loud and drunk) girls in the crowd, but also quite a few dodgy looking "gang member" types that you made sure you didn't make eye contact with

She knows exactly how to push your buttons.....I learnt along time ago that her screams & crying can be turned on and off like a tap.
I have watch through the crack of the door as her brother has passed her and she has screamed that he hit or pinch her .... she can lie for England & Canada combined.
She has long since been able to look you straight in the eyes and 'pinky swear' that she is telling the truth.....then a couple of weeks later you find out different!!! she is so good at it!
I wish she would teach me.....I couldn't lie to someone face to save my life!!!
I am so looking forward to her teens....NOT

Yes my "G" has told some stories herself and I have believed them. Here in Red Deer (first time round) she once told me that when she went round to call for her friend a man pulled up outside the door and was watching her, so she decided to walk back home but the man grabbed her arm.........this later turned out to be totally exaggerated beyond all proportions!! It was merely a man who parked up outside her friend's house and popped in there to visit!! That is just one example.....talk about the boy who cried wolf! I take all her stories with a pinch of salt, but one day she could really be telling me the truth. She's an out-right attention seeker and Diva......a woman trapped in a 9 year olds body

She even challenged her teacher last year......telling me that she didn't need to listen to her as she wasn't even her mom!!!
I'm off to West Ed Mall with her now....catch you later!

First off - Congrats Linda - sorry, a bit late to this thread - but well done on the house purchase and I hope you'll all be very happy there.
And secondly, when you and Ruby get together to talk about awkward daughters, can I come too??. My 6 year old (7 in a couple of weeks, but going on 14, with a smart arse answer for everything) sounds so similar !
