Some 40 years ago I applied for a job with Eaton's, a huge canadian retailer at the time, now defunct. I was asked if I smoked to which I replied yes. I then was warned that I would not be able to smoke on the job if I joined the company. I found that odd. It was a personal belief of the company's founder that smoking was bad.
In other words he was correct but imposed his own standard on employees.

I was once asked if I had 100 GBP in my pocket, and I walked past a bridge with graffiti on it, what would I do?
I said I'd scrub it off myself if it was offensive, and give the hundred to charity. Barf, barf, what a load of nonsense. I got the job, but was offered a better one the following week so never did have the joy of working with them. I can just imagine their daily psychobabble
