[QUOTE=Oink;11948718]It was HID's fault as she stood me up on Friday afternoon, although she is not taking responsibility for it. Apparently it was my fault I rolled in at 3:30 am, she even has the audacity to suggest I buy her a new rug for the living room this afternoon to make amends. [/QUOTE

Unbelievable... She is giving you grief when the whole thing was her fault..

I think she’s mostly naffed off because she didn’t get the crab that she was promised. Somehow on the walk home between the dock and the apartment, they managed to give me the slip and escape from the paper bag they were in. So now there are three monster Dungeness crabs on the loose scurrying around Vancouver.

The Highway was closed all weekend so I pretty much did **** all other than get drunk, buy underwear and watch the Raptors.

I'll avoid wearing sandals this week!

I worked all weekend.

It'll be different next weekend. We're spending a few days at our country estate near Quebec City and the weather forecast is good (unlike what it's doing there today!!!!).

I was driving a Ford Focus RS around the Nurburgring*.

Oh, and mowing the lawn.

*OK, I had a Virtual Reality headset for the weekend, not a real car.

The lawnmower was real, I presume?

Yes, but I rather fancy the one I saw a co-worker using last week, where he could just sit back and drive it around by remote control .

After over 50 years of marriage I don't think it's too unbelievable.

British car porn this weekend....

Vancouver ABFM at VanDusen on Saturday. Possibly followed by a car run to Whistler on Sunday. At least two dozen fellow Landroverists will be attending. Guaranteed to be the least shiny and most dinged vehicles there...

Rain or shine. The former appears to be likely, in support of everything British about a holiday weekend. So the opportunities for some toplessness seem remote (of other people's cars!).

Over 500 British cars will be there.

Sounds like a great weekend Withabix

This is Nigel (he came with the name), which has prompted me to call the other one (that hasn't run since 1985) Mavis

This was my ride 40 years ago, an Austin Gipsy G4M10.
It came with the name Jennifer.

Another Friday sat in a restaurant bar waiting for HID to turn up not sure how the evening will progress if she doesn't make it but I predict it'll be fun.

edited to note, there's a lot of fat people in Canada.

Oh naff. Still there are always oriental style chicken wings to mitigate the ever so slight regret.

Did those crab ever make a reappearance or are they going to make a movie "Crabzilla" in a few years, destroying the Pacific Rim Hotel and trashing the boats in Cold Harbour?
