After 8 weeks in temporary accommodation we finally get the keys to our new home on Monday. We are going to be busy busy busy but are looking forward to finally being reunited with all our furniture and clothes from the UK. Have had a great time buying some new furniture and obligatory 50" plasma for the family room and a 'normal' sized one for the living room. Once the home theatre system and satellite are hooked up I might not see the boys for days on end as they catch up on European footie
Can't wait to invite all our new friends round for a wee party. They have been so nice to us, even having us over for Sunday lunch where we found out that Atlantic Superstore sells Yorkshire puddings and white puddings
.
It's soooo exciting

Excellent. Now you can really start getting settled. All the best for Monday.

Good news to hear you're finally at the last hurdle and getting settled into your new home.
We have been to Comet today, hubby wanted to buy an MP3 player, he was drooling all over this 42" HD plasma TV, I said "Look, just wait til we get to Canada and we actually have a room that can fit it!". (Men and their toys eh?).

Thanks all
It's a beautiful day today and we have just driven back from Antigonish, a pretty town which is only 1/2 hour away. Driving through the lovely scenery, the sun was shining, the sky was blue and todays temp is +8C. On the way home I felt compelled to announce in the car "I live in Canada, pinch me cos I must be dreaming"

Congratulations on the new home, and I hope you have every reason to continue to feel this way about Canada.

Poppy1, white pudding is similar to black pudding except its made from oatmeal, onion and spices, no blood. It can also be called skirlie and is fab when served with minced beef, beef stew or chicken.
At Christmas a lot of people in Scotland have white pudding/skirlie along with the turkey instead of sage and onion stuffing

We're bringing our 42" plasma out there with us as luckily it's switchable to 110 V and 50Hz. Although relatives of ours were thinking we were going to give it to one of them.
Not sure how we're going to get it working as a telly over there yet though, because it needs some sort of receiver but I dare say I will.
