Watched it from our condo in the end as OH was reluctant to get soaked - had the lightning show to go with it as well which made it quite special. A better display than Canada's imo.

The seemingly continuous forked lightning and the amazing shades in the sky from purples to oranges were just incredible last night. I think the result at the final whistle went to Mother Nature.

It was very cool - the north shore mountains were lit up with it seemingly continuously from 8 till 10:30. Some really big forks as well.

It pissed down all night. Went to Bridges to watch it but a bridge got in the way.

Well the UK tonight. Might be a bit hot for the sparklers.

I'm not making any weather related comments - I jinxed it last time!

I'm hoping it will be a good show, but I am preparing myself to be underwhelmed

Well it passes the time of day

so does poking your own eyes out, and that sounds more enjoyable at the moment.

I find that hard to believe - not that I'm going to test the hypothesis however.
