Here's an upside, Captain Tom turns 100 tomorrow, and he's supposed to be getting a surprise fly-by from the RAF. He'll like that! He's raised $51M Cdn by walking back and forth in his yard. That's amazing.

The Beaverton is good, (better than The Onion imo) but in print has no punch compared to the tv program.

I’ve been painting a lot more. Haven’t done anything since 2017

You like reflections - or is there an art term for that?

I believe Bats paints too...maybe there should be a BE lockdown gallery thread. Other stuff could go in it too, for various bits of creativity.

When this is all over and things get back to "normal" i hope that the supermarkets keep the Seniors only hour 7 till 8. So much nicer especially if one is not as bright as one used to be.

I'm up early enough for that but there's one particular store here that is shockingly bad at getting its stock properly displayed before 10.00 am even though they've been open since 8. I can only imagine it would be worse first thing. :(

Yes it is all about New Brunswick! We are the only Province in the country with NO active cases! All the people who had it have recovered and we have had NO deaths...plucky little NB...here's hoping it continues :fingerscrossed:

So far i have used (in Kamloops) Safeway, Real Canadian Superstore and Save on Foods during the senior hour and all three opened bang on time and had a full range of products, baked goods etc, give or take a few items (plenty of marmite), even seeing some hand sanitizer back in stock. Even the dollar store at columbia place mall has a good stock of hand sanitizer refills.

There was a news story here yesterday saying the lockdown had done wonders for gambling addicts; especially those that play slots / or pokie machines as they are called here. Millions of dollars being saved and a massive win if going cold turkey can break the habit for folks, who would rob their grannies in order to feed every every last cent of it into a machine every day.

I suppose I could have posted my discovery of the contents of IGA in this thread.
I've been looking over the site again today and that list I posted I could probably double of equivalent stuff.

You know what it reminds me of? Those overnight shopping trips to Northern France to visit the Hypermarkets first thing in the morning back in the 80s and seeing all those weird and wonderful things.
