The holiday this weekend in Alberta is a civic holiday so is optional for a lot of employers, however it would become a stat if it were negotiated as such in a union contract.

Did you spend your time visiting mosques? Because that's the only place you'll see a "high number of muslims" in BC.

If you are going to make mildly racist jokes about a visible minority religion you should at least pick one that has a decent showing around here. What about a Sikh holiday, or Budhist one?

How does one spot a Muslim, anyway? The only one I've met around here, to my knowledge, is called Terry and he's white.
