Coronation Street from 1992.

Minder, and Open all Hours too. That's yer lot. You'll have to watch CSI, 24 and Without a Trace like the rest of us.

Living in victoria, we got many many of the OLD english comedies - keeping up appearances, as time goes by, yes prime minister (my personal favourite), all creatures great and small, waiting for god....etc, etc. We get them through our PBS stations from Detroit and Seattle and sometimes from Vision TV.

Every nite there are english comedies on from 8-9pm......

Have a p.c. connected to my tv and now watch more british TV than N American through the internet i.e. BBCi player, ITV. Channel's 4 & 5. Proxy's do work more often than not. If you wish to pay you can get what is called a uk vpn, a number of comapnys supply these (google it to find out an explanation), they start about $15 mth they work very well. The plus side of this is programmes will be up to date and you can watch them when you want to and in the right order.

Try something like Grabit: http://www.shemes.com/ along with an account with a decent USENET news server.

Just got the latest episode of Spooks Code 9 early last night just hours after it aired.

This is all making SKY TV look good ! I will never say "there's not much on sky tonight" again (even if it does cost me £47 a month)

You'll find various UK TV programmes on most of the cable channels. Coronation St is on CBC but is about 8 months behind. Knowledge Network carries quite a few UK shows (Heartbeat, Doc Martin, Misomer Murders, New Tricks, and a few others). BBC Canada shows the same ones over and over, like Judge John Deed, home improvent stuff. Oh and Top Gear.

No matter which country you are in, you can have a hundred channels and still find nothing to watch!!
