Hi everyone,
My wife and I are in our mid 30's and have been 3 months living in Vancouver after immigrating from Glasgow, Scotland. Would be interested in meeting people in the city who may be in a similar situation or have already settled and are keen to share their experiences.
Cheers

I've moved your thread over to the Maple Leaf forum. I'm sure someone from the Vancouver area will be along soon to reply to your post.

You Rangers or Celtic? Rangers supporters club meet at The Dover Arms on Denman, Celtic Supporters club meet at Library Square on Georgia St. Would be a good place to meet fellow Glaswegians!

We are from Glasgow too (south side) and been here for 8 weeks. We are not quite in Vancouver, but south Surrey. Probably can't give you any advice as you have been here longer than us....but just wanted to say hello :-)

Have I replied correctly?
Yes, I would definitely like to meet a British couple, new to Vancouver. I am immigrating into Vancouver on 24th Nov - in a weeks time! I have my first weeks accommodation sorted in a B&B on Cambie St and I hope to sort out the rest from there. Gulp! Any friendly faces to offer encouragement would be well appreciated. We can swap learning as we go. Brilliant!
Not sure what the etiquette is but my email is <see forum profile>. Was that allowed?
Thanks. John.

Its not against the rules, but generally its best not to post an email address as spambots pick them off and plague you with junk. People can contact you easily by clicking on your profile and sending a message either via email or by private message.
Ill edit your address out of the post...
