Where is the best place to buy a decent suit in Calgary area?
Hubby need a new one and he is keen to order through M and S, where he has always bought and he thinks he knows his size. But I fear this is a bit of a gamble as he has had a few too many doughnuts since we arrived.
Don't want to spend an absolute fortune, he just needs a nice smart, well made suit for special occasions.
Any suggestions, thanks

Try Moores, usually reasonably priced and fairly good quality, even some made in Canada, or used to be. My OH wears a suit rarely these days he hasn't needed a new one for a few years!

Sears sell reasonable "occasional" suits. Just make sure you shop when they have a sale on.

I used to get my suits at M&S too. My last suit came from Moores. It seems all right, well made etc, but rarely sees the light of day now. It was made in Canada FWIW. I bought it, so the price must have been decent I guess. It was a while ago now.

Not sure on budget - but I think Tip Top Tailors do a reasonable range - there's one in Market Mall - probably others around the city too ...
Edit: I think it is Tip Top Tailors - not far down from the Apple store on the same side?

Brooks Brothers has just opened a shop in Calgary. Not terribly trendy but well made, well fitted and it will last a while.

Didn't most of the blokes on here say they hate shopping anyway?
There must be a Saville Row version in Calgary, I know we have one here in Ottawa ( tailor to the PM and ministers ) and there is one in T.O where I use to buy mine.
