The UK has had snow !!!!!

Re: The UK has had snow !!!!!
As usual, Cornwall has had bu**ar all, just the rain and hailstones. My kids were really peed off this morning when they saw on the news that up in Wales (where nanny and grampa are) they had 10cm. I had to give the old consolation line of "But, you see, when we're in Canada............". Does anyone else still in the UK use this line?

Yep, except today. For once Milton Keynes is snowy, and it's still coming down....

Trust me, the novelty of snow will wear off quickly once you move to Canada and get fed up shoveling it, or get salt stains on your clothes every time you get in (or even near) your car

I know. Familiarity breeds contempt, or whatever.
But for now, it's a novelty, so we'll go make snow angels and behave like kids...

Ah now you see here in Calgary there are six of us (at least) who like to see the snow, but would rather it was falling about 150km west. (Lovely powder for the weekend).

I now suffer from snow blower inadequacy syndrome as this just went past the office window.

Shouldn't Atlantic Expats pictures be in the "Whats the daftest thing you've ever done" thread

Hey... when we lived in essex.... i was using when we move to scotland.... now i am just starting with... when we move to canada... but i think the kids might be too old by that point and it will only be me that goes nuts for snow...
if it only takes a snow blower.........

This made me laugh.......(from the BBC report)
"Overnight temperatures could fall to as low as -3C (26F)"
Here the high of -15 degrees tomorrow ..... and still it snows!
Do you remember people in the UK saying .... "Hmmm no, it's too cold to snow"
