Haha nope. Looks like she's believing the polls that came out this week showing Labour slipping further into oblivion, though based on recent experience not sure how wise it is to believe those anymore

Combination of polls saying huge lead, and Crown Prosecution Service dealing with enough files on Tories breaking the spending limit at the last election to wipe out the majority she has.

Exciting! It was the right thing to do, given the circumstances. It will give the countries the opportunity to air some Brexit issues and get rid of the disastrous Labour duo.

from the BBC "Nicola Sturgeon has described Theresa May's plans for a snap general election as a "huge political miscalculation".

Election 2015 - BBC News

Could Scotland be key in this coming election?

My prediction on the outcome

Cons 350

Labour 220

SNP 51

Labour might be a mess but to vote conservative is to vote for the end of the NHS. Not to mention holding hands with Trump

To be fair, she would be a fool not if she wants to get re elected, its perfect timing - Labour are an unlectable mess with that imbecile as their leader! Crazy.

I don't know much about politics and stuff like that but good luck to all parties in their contest this June. At least in this one we'll get a British winner. That has to be one in the eye for that kleptocracy in Brussels!

That will not be getting my vote.

Unfortunately where I live which was a tolerant open remain area it's also a cons majority and no clear tactical route out.

Just hope some cons voters think twice, hope comes from the remain stance but we all know how people bow over with slightest pressure or the mob herd mentality. Fingers remain (no pun intended) crossed for a refreshing outcome...

It is necessary. The Tories do not have a mandate to take the UK out of the Single Market.

Apart from a referendum where a majority of the electorate voted for it.

It should have happened before Article 50 was activated.

May will be hoping the 52% turn out in her favour.

I have a funny feeling this could blow up in her face. I dread to think what state the UK will be in by Christmas. It make's having President Orange Face or Prime Minister Selfie look a little better.

Neither of those things happened.

About 37% of the electorate said they wanted to leave political union, if they were lied to enough about NHS funding.

The Tories were very clear in their 2015 manifesto that even if we did that, they would preserve the place in the single market. The Leave campaign also emphasised at the time that, in the words of key campaigner Dan Hannan, "Absolutely nobody is talking about threatening our place in the Single Market".

Whilst I concede the europhobes have shown no connection to any of truth, reality, or consistency, any claim that there was a vote to leave the market is a simple, flat out lie.
