UK to benefit from a great Canadian export.
Brexit or no Brexit the UK is about to benefit from one of Canada's greatest iconic brand.
Tim Hortons will be opening up full service coffee shops in England, Scotland & Wales.
I guess the Scottish will need to have the term double double explained that it is not 2 pints and 2 whiskey chasers
Tim Hortons Expanding To England, Scotland, Wales

Great. I hope someone in the UK will teach them how to make a coffee.

Not that optimistic on their prospects. Doughnuts are not that popular, their sandwiches are crap compared to Pret, M&S, and anywhere else, and the land is already saturated with coffee shops where real coffee is the norm. It may be that Timmies success in Canada is largely due to the 'cultural icon' positioning it chanced upon and then nurtured.

I now have a reason to return to the land of my birth
Are they getting a good tax deal like Starbucks perhaps? Or is it that we pure Brits appreciate all that Tim's has to offer

I tried a Tim Hortons coffee once just after moving to this great nation... Felt that I ought to..never again-just scoop a mug amongst the dishes in the sink...it is certainly tastier

From Wikipedia...
"On August 26, 2014, Burger King agreed to purchase Tim Hortons for US$11.4 billion; the chain became a subsidiary of the Oakville-based holding company Restaurant Brands International on December 15, 2014, which is majority-owned by Brazilian investment firm 3G Capital."
Brexit Britain and Broke Brazil with an impeached president...there's nowhere else to invest except in each other?

We get McDonald's coffee, hardly ever a drive thru line up, you get coupon stamps for free coffee and you can add a muffin thing for cheap!

They used to have Tim Hortons in some Spar shops (aboot 40) and a small number of BP garages until aboot five or 6 years ago.
Never tried them, but I can't imagine they were any good. The coffee might have been better though
Personally I cant stand Tim's filter coffee. Tastes like dirty dish water. The dark roast tastes like burnt dirty dish water.
Ice Capps are OK, but they are made from a bottle of goop and not fresh coffee. And the raspberry lemonades.
Donuts obviously good. Other food not so.
