U2 iTunes?
#1
Ok, so the Irish foursome that I used to consider the "best band ever" have just launched their new album on iTunes, and given it away to everyone! 500 million iTunes accounts.
Apparently it has been showing up on people's phones etc and some are not too pleased. My case is opposite, I can't find it anywhere within my main iTunes. It appears in the iStore and samples can be played but that's it. In the iStore is says the album will appear in your Purchased folder (and indeed in the iStore it is marked "Purchased") but I don't see it?
Any ideas? Has anybody received it within their iTunes?

Just checked and I had to hit download by tapping the little 'cloud with down arrow' icon (it was already flagged as 'purchased'). It's downloading now.

Sorry, tap "Purchased" at the bottom of the screen. Go to U2.
The cloud icon should be on that screen.

Ok, found it on my iPad version of iTunes. Downloading now.
I guess it will synch to my Mac in due course as it didn't seem to be on there anywhere. Thanks for helping. Rock on.

Mine was in my music. Not listened to it yet, hoping it's not a disaster like the euro disco phase

I listened to a couple of tracks and have decided not to waste the bandwidth... shame, they used to be good!

Why are they giving it away for free? What new marketing strategy is this? Are they hoping you will buy more for friends?
Takes all the fun out of downloading it from "other sources"

Apple want customers to experience their cloud music player.
