That wasn't a tip as in "if you type GBP 123.45 it will automatically turn into a pound sign", it was just saying that I used the letters GBP instead of a pound sign.
Of course, my advice only works if you're talking about GBP 123.45. If you need to type a different amount, my advice is no good. The GBP bit will still work, of course, but you'll need to figure out your own numbers.

LOL, but of course, I knew what you meant.

Because I don't have the pound sign I've always had to write "pounds" -- now I can just abbreviate it with GBP which I hadn't thought to do before, so cheers.
