How about some other things that are very annoying? People with a ton of items standing in the "12 Items or Less" line (should be Fewer - lousy grammar) When I point this out to the offender or to the checker, all I get is a silly snigger or being told by people behind to shut up. Or how about people who stand there eating from open bins candy, grapes, and other stuff they haven't paid for and encouraging their kids to do the same. Staff including store managers ignore this. When my daughter was about four years old, she remarked loudly "These people are stealing, aren't they?" I agreed equally loudly and nobody told her to be quiet. I've seen people opening butter packets and licking the contents, biting bits out of buns, and even opening boxes of Kleenex and helping themselves. I still find it amazing that these kinds of actions are regarded as acceptable in Canada. They're not only rude but unhygienic and downright illegal.

People eh! Too many of them suck but they'll always be there just to annoy

I'm not convinced there's anything wrong with this one though. I think both are okay in that example. I recall reading that 'less' was okay when the value of what was being compared could be identified.
I scored fewer goals than Wayne Rooney but if he scored 50, I scored less would be okay.
Oxford Dictionaries says "Less is also used with numbers when they are on their own and with expressions of measurement or time, e.g.: His weight fell from 18 stone to less than 12.
In examples later it actually includes 10 items or less as being correct.
Anyway...

Good grief where do you live? I caught a lady switching large eggs for medium once, and once I saw a woman sneak an extra mango into a case. She was ahead of me at tbe checkout and I was going to rat her out but the clerk had either seen it or been advised by security and she just removed the top mango from the case then rang it through but didn't scold her.

I hate Vancouver traffic; if I don't fly or take the bus I try to drive in at 3 AM and take public transport until I leave. Part of that is that I'm used to the relatively slow pace in Regina. It's the capital of the province, but late at night the streets are still taken over by tumbleweeds and jackrabbits.

Things that annoy me about Vancouver:
- Hobo's pushing their shopping trolleys in the road and getting in my way
- Pissed up kids puking on the road and getting my car tyres smelly
- People not batting an eye to drink driving
- People not batting an eye to driving while high as ****
- Hypocritical views on smoking, where hipsters see cigarette smoking as evil yet smoking a massive doobie is cool
- Pretending that the DTES doesn't exist
- People letting their kids paddle in the e-coli infested waters
- 93% of shoppers in Whole Foods
