Re: Trump Trump Trump
Old timers may remember Peter Cook doing his biased judge thing.
It made me think of this stage of the impeachment process. Somebody with talent could adapt it.
In particular the last part

'You are now to retire, as indeed should I, carefully to consider your verdict of "Not Guilty".'

Demockrassy. Don't ya jus luv it.
We are witnessing the rape of the US system of government by it's membership driven by greed, fear and self interest.
We will shortly witness a triumphal example of a political party unable to restrain itself and the rage of a party pushed to impotence.
There is an election due shortly.
I'm sorry to say that it doesn't matter which faction wins, anybody who doesn't matter will lose.
The US constitution has demonstrated an inability to reconcile the ambitions of it's authors with the ambitions of politicians of today.
I think I'll coin a new description for the US system of government: Avaricocracy, don't you just hate it.

Re: Trump Trump Trump
I think they missed a trick with the Impeachment vote so close.
They should have put out a Trumpian style press release, something like; "There are indications to suggest that the Democratic App has been hacked by the Russians with the intention of disrupting the Caucus and the 2020 election."
With the vote only a day or so away, the fear that the Russians might be involved in some way may have impacted one or two repubicans and such a claim would be difficult to disprove in the time available.
They could walk back the claim later, after the vote, as necessary.
As it is they look like a bunch of incompetent buffoons. Say 'Bye Bye' to the Iowa Caucus.

Mud sticks...
It took a muddled democratic thrust at Trump that unleashed his pitbulls to ensure that the Biden venture in Ukraine would cement itself into the american psyche.
Sure, Trump deserved to be impeached but the efforts his team made on his behalf meant that Zelensky no longer needs to make his announcement, the assertions on the floor of the Senate by the Trump defence team have done that in it's place and it was accomplished far more forcefully and with much greater publicity than Zelensky could possibly have done.
And it made sense, certainly to this observer.
Who now believes that Hunter Biden wasn't paid bundles of used notes simply because his name was Biden?
Who now believes that the old man didn't know about it?
Mud sticks, and the Iowa results show that the wheels have come off the Biden train, he should never have entered the race in the first place knowing the baggage he must have been dragging behind him.
So Trump's scheme has succeeded spectacularly, but has it succeeded too well?
Hunting Biden as a wounded animal is one thing, being hunted by someone else will require a different strategy altogether. All that effort Giuliani put in has been wasted. Whatever he uncovered in Ukraine to toss in later in the campaign is useless with the mark no longer present.
So, I wonder to which part of the planet Giuliani will appear next and who he'll be digging mud up on.

Canada has just over 4000 corona cases, the US has over 82000.... whats going through this mans mind. He is clueless. he has a one track mind and couldn't care less about the American people. I think the US will the worst hit country in the world thanks to Donald constantly playing it down and not taking appropriate measures,
