Toronto Life: Areas Cover
#1
Feb's edition of Toronto Life provides some area descriptors? Wondering how accurate they are and, if the description fits any BE-ers (not necessarily from TO)...!
#3
Yes it's a bit small. Not sure how to get a large picture of the cover. Maybe someone else will be along with an idea...
The captions are obviously tongue in cheek, but I'm guessing they're not totally out of character (like calling Clapham Nappy Valley or something). Do recognise from the map what the divisions are? Postcodes, wards, I want to try and cross reference it with the names of areas too...

The idiot amalgamated all the independent units of Inner Greater Toronto into a single City. This might have been a good idea if accompanied by some investment in the transition, but of course it wasn't.
The result was a permanent conflict between Toronto itself, where, in general, the (by Canadian standards) sophisticated activities take place, and the dreadful not-so-outer suburbs where the lumpen proletariat stuff fast food and Timmies down their bloated throats and argue about distribution territories.
I note that Richmond Hill holds itself above all this.
