I lived in Oakville and I'm a perfectly normal, well-balanced........

"Up north"?? You told me where you'll be. I'm 1000 km north of there.

That's what I suspected too.

And thanks (NOT) to Souvy and Bristol for the Monkees' ear worm.

ETA: on a point of "order", I'll remind you lot that the original (sort of) question was about taking a train out of .... oh, never mind!!!!

Well, yes, the suburb at the end of the line. The death of dreams. Ruislip abroad. That sort of thing. I know that one can physically return to Toronto, one's baby takes the morning train, he works from nine to five and then he takes another home again, <repeat to fade>.

Hey! I lived in Ruislip as a small child, and look how glamorous and exciting my life is now!

Hmmm. It's possible that I just reinforced your point.

Doubt it. Not really a party person. Plus it has too much potential to be like when you see photos of the people in The Archers, and they never look how you imagined.

Souvy looks how you would imagine, if you'd heard him called "Stevens". I adopted my avatar after the suggestion of posters here that it is a good likeness.

I sound vowel to vowel like Shulah...I am not over keen on the character, but if they ever need a perky replacement, I regret to say I could do it:huh: I'm Rob in my heart:thumbup:

Much as I would love to be Lilian (minus the men) I think realistically it's more like Joe Grundy.

We could have been neighbours, though I have the impression you were a decade or so behind me.

Shula is a bit sanctimonious, maybe Elizabeth? At least you'd be rich."
