1-0 is a bit of a good result, Barca will need to win by 2 at home. Somehow I think they might just be capable of that though.

Anyway, good luck and knock yourselves out.

thanks for that, l agree with you barcelona on there own turf are very much capeable
of scoreing more than 2, should be a interesting game next tuesday.:)

I would take a 5 0 drubbing by the toon, if we could squeak a 2 1 defeat in Barcelona.

Di Mateo said before hand they would have to play 2 perfect games to get to the final. Yesterday was about as good as they could hope for I think, but I cant see their luck lasting to a second game myself. It was a stalwart performance from Chelsea though all the same.

Real Madrids job is a bit trickier, but Id still wager on an all spanish final.

How much:D Yes Chelski did a great job of frustrating them so fair play to them.
That away goal by Madrid could prove to be a trump card but Bayern still have theirs to play if the 2nd leg ends in a draw with goals scored or not.

I think a Bayern- Barca final this year. be nice if Barca don't win it again.

It would be normal Spurs luck if we finish 4th and Chelsea win the Champions League taking that 4th English spot!

You could always do a Liverpool and write to UEFA and appeal.

European champions Liverpool have been handed a place in next season's Champions League after UEFA decided to bend the rules for the victorious Merseysiders.
Liverpool's failure to finish in the Premier League's top four meant they were not entitled to a place in next season's competition, despite lifting the cup after a penalty shootout win over AC Milan in last month's final.

All water under the bridge now (not Stamford Bridge:lol:)

I cant help but think that appealing for a 5th european place for english clubs, based on the unfairness of finishing 4th and failing to get in the "Champions" league might be considered taking the piss;)

Under rugby rules the FA should by rights lose a spot as penalty for a frivoulous appeal.

It was made crystal clear last time that it was 4 spots and 4 spots only going forward.

Anyway I'll worry if it happens. Both Spurs finishing 4th and Chelsea winning the league still seem unlikely to me.

Not being able to see the original post but on your reply, I see the chip is still firmly in place in our noted defender of the borders.

Yes it is  though I have noticed that other Pool supporters such as iaink dont take it to heart as you do. Its called taking the piss and friendly rivalry.
I suppose no piss taking was made of Utd fans in the 70s & 80s when we were dire but I suppose the internet and BE werent around then.
I have had many a good pint with scousers over here as the type of mentality between rival supporters doesnt exist over here.
Dont worry your time will come and if Im still around I expect the same in return.
