I've just marzipanned 19 Christmas cakes!!!

After last year's trauma I'm going to give it a miss. I'll make some mince pies though.

Bloody hell! Well done you!

I've got my gifts purchased, some Christmas goodies and chocolates etc., but have still to buy the fixings for 2 Christmas dinners... oh, and wrapping paper etc.

Nearly there - phew!

:)

I’m feeling quite faint, but wow, well done you!!

I made 5 dozen mince pies yesterday for one church’s Christmas tea party. Have another few dozen to make for a different church’s party, where I think I might be on the sandwich-making roster too.

It’s my year for volunteer Christmassing again, so there are a couple of other mass cooking stints on the horizon.

Am I right in thinking you did something similar last year?|

Lawks a mussy! You must have been baking since August, I'm guessing about 19 kilos of marzipan then?
Your kitchen must be as big as a restaurant!

I actually find it easier than organizing/cooking for family festive get-togethers :). Which I am not responsible for this year.

I’m bouche-bée at Tootle’s cake production!

Oh hell, I have been talking to too many Americans and Canadians.. huge apologies!

I meant, of course, the accompaniments to the Turkey.

Ha. I thought it would be that but I'd not heard it used. Somewhere here or on another thread someone was talking about decorations and they made the point that it was decorations and not trimmings because trimmings were what went with xmas dinner.
Personally, trimmings go with turkey but they're also what I used to put on my mum's ceilings, corner to middle etc

No nippers this year so after a debauched Xmas eve I'll mosey over the pub for the afternoon to see what's going down.

Rather looking forward to it!

The ingredients must have cost a bloody fortune.
