Default Those google maps street level views

Looks like the UK ones have plate numbers and faces blurred out. I wonder how much effort that takes.

Checked out the area of my old Grammar School; could see into the windows of neighbouring houses.

I saw six of their cars on Hwy 401 on Saturday, heading for points east. So, they're here.

Not sure what you are referring to there. The link you sent had some peoples facing blurred out and others not. I'm sure it is automated. If you go to the 'Theatre of Dreams' in M/CR you can see the faces of Ronaldo et al blurred on the exterior of the stadium when it is clearly a poster.

I thought major cities in Canada had already been done...I guess they are going again, before foliage covers up lots of good views.

But are they legal? Have they got the privacy issues sorted with the Canadian government sorted?

I was sat eating my lunch the other day in deepest North Yorkshire, and the Google car came by the window, turned around in our tiny cul-de-sac, and drove out - it's all a bit weird to think that someone might find pictures of this part of the world useful really...

I want to see where you live!

I did a little sight seeing in London the other day, from the comfort of my own home. I trawled up and down some fo the roads I used to walk as a student in London.

I thought it was cool.

It's a vrtual world out there!

I can confirm the blurring is an automated process.

You can see this as some text on buildings and hoardings gets blurred accidentally when the font is a close match.

Yea and they also use the technology they developed for face recognition in Picasa to blur out faces...

Very scary stuff...what next? Tracking microchips inserted into every new born?

I guess this is the end to anonymous dogging.
