Thank you so much for the support  There's another pair of bright orange loons out there somwhere...
As far as hair length goes, when I had the loons originally, my hair was half way down my back. I went bald around age 35, and have since flitted between a 'number one cut', complete head shave and just letting it go. A few weeks ago staying with sis-and-brother in law, I stumbled downstairs for the first coffee of the day, and was greeted with "Morning Gandalf"... Right, time to do some work on that then. To be honest, I don't really want to stop wearing jeans. I love jeans, am hugely brand loyal - Levis - but the price here has me quaking now. What would be a reasonable price where you are for a pair of Levi 511/521 (boot cut, I think, but whatever slight flare that will mask my ankle weights - I'm trying to build up my leg strength) either in black or dark blue? I will likely scare the crap out of you when I give you the retail prices over here. :( It sounds like you would have been my type, lol, loons and long hair! So, Levi's in Canada tend to be around the $80 mark, although you can get them cheaper in sales. Bootcut (527's) are a little cheaper in the US though.. https://www.jcpenney.com/p/levis-527...plType=regular https://www.levi.com/CA/en_CA/Cleara...ns/p/055270546 If you love wearing them, don't stop! :) |

Anyway... taking your upper price of GBP80, that would equate to CHF105.

I wandered into a second hand/pawn shop with my 10 year old recently. They had a bright red trim 'phone for sale - very cool back in the day. First my daughter asked "what is it?" When I told her she said "but where's the screen?"

Re: Things that make you feel old
So the rules about wearing jeans in the UK don't extend to anyone over what 50, 60? No wonder I am perceived as the odd one out when I visit. I'm hardly ever out of mine and am well over 60! Thank goodness I live in Canada lol
I find it's the same with long hair too, I'm growing mine now after wearing very short spiky hair for the last however many years! Im protesting ageism! Lol |

I actually like Wranglers.
I had a pair once. Also a pair of Lee Coopers. Both poor imitations of 'the genuine article' in my opinion. |
