Glad to have helped
On that note, let me know if you want to share a bulk order. I get them for about $15 each (bait blocks and the double pack of tac traps) and shipping seems to be around $20 no matter how much we buy...
We have this one now and it's great. Even with silly UPS brokerage, etc, it worked out cheaper than the equivalent anywhere in Canada: http://www.northlineexpress.com/item...?ic=5UV-SV5100
Also, we learnt our lesson (re: their unreliability) and actually paid for an extended warranty on this one. I think that's the first time we've ever bothered, so sod's law says it'll run forever

I would share too.

That's great. Unfortunately my supplier on eBay is only listing 2 bait blocks as available in his store at the moment, and his tactraps are $20 for a pack of 2, not the $15 I thought (still a third less than Canadian Tire, and the bait blocks are 50% less than Canadian Tire) so I've emailed them and asked if they have more stock than they're showing.
Once we have an idea of how much we all need, and I hear back about stock levels, I'll get him to quote for shipping.
Northline Express are actually even cheaper, but they are unable to ship the bait blocks via US Postal Service International Mail (due to the harmful chemicals, apparently) so I'm waiting to hear back from them about whether UPS is feasible.
Obviously the eBay guy just doesn't detail the parcel contents well enough to attract the concern of the Postal Service

Ok, the eBay seller has got back to me and he says he has boxes full of each, so if we wanted to order a reasonable quantity, that wouldn't be a problem.
However, I've just been messing around with his shipping calculator on eBay and doing some "math"... When I posted a relatively small parcel of these items to Iain (over 12 months ago) it cost us $12 something...
If we were to split the US shipping on a larger lot from eBay (guestimate of around $25 shipping) three ways, and then add import duty if the combined total value of the shipment warrents it (whereas individually, we might escape that?) then add $12(ish) for postage within Canada, it seems that it wouldn't really work out any cheaper than us each buying direct.
So, after all that, you'd be better of just having a look at: http://stores.ebay.ca/SAVE-MORE-ON-B...squito-Magnets Sorry!

Their bait might be cheaper too?
Last year was unbearable, this year I've had to use DEET only twice, and we work outside all day.

These guys seem to have a good deal on the SV5100 at the moment at $299.95 with free shipping to Canada (UPS). Of course import duty will have to be paid.

Have they said they'll offer free shipping to Canada to you, as they say that they don't, on their website (same as Northline) although it's still a better price, anyway! :
1. Free Shipping & No Sales Tax! At EliteDeals.com, all orders over $99 are shipped free to the continental US (lower 48 states only - excludes AK, HI, and Canada).

Hmm! I went through the purchase process as far as I could without actually paying for it and it still didn't show shipping charges. I'm not buying one at the moment as I don't think it'll make a dent on our 12 acres and we don't have a yard per se. We thought about buying a few to put them out in the campground but they might not be there in the morning????
