Are there any Mods out there?

Yes, that was a good one. Didn't we talk about these movies on another thread a few months ago?? I'll do a quick search [if I don't fall asleep on the keyboard first]...

How on Earth did this transition take place? Linkin Park are good, but Papa Roach and Limp Biskit? I saw the Deftones (same ilk as Limp Biskit) at Reading in 99. I was speechless.
How does somebody who is into Northern Soul and the Floyd progress to Limp Biskit? It's like saying I used to be a pacifist, but now I want to kill everybody.

Linkin Park. Good. Same sentence.
The world has spun off it's axis.
I listened to Pantera "Far beyond driven" until the cassette was cruelly chewed up by someones else's tape deck. This is the sort of thing you never quite get over. That, and the realisation that someone out there does actually like Papa Roach.
I need a drink.

I'd recommend both films actually. I thought they were both really good. 24 hour party people is really funny. Steve Coogan does a great job.

My eyes just fell out of my head and kit the keyboard.

I did. I liked that album in any case. I was into some heavier stuff in those days. Nothing like a bit of Slayer, followed by Oasis, followed by some cheesy stadium rawk.

Wow. Who'd have thought that a thread about mods would have people bigging up Pantera?!
Anyway, just wanted to say that In The City by the Jam is surely the best debut single ever, with the best intro ever. Amazing to think that he was only 18 when he wrote it.
I'm a huge Jam fan, but unfortunately much of his solo stuff leaves me cold.
(I still have a Vespa buried at the back of a cousin's shed somewhere..)
