It really is pathetic when you think about it that temps of -3 c (and then it is only in northern Scotland and highland areas) and the country goes into panic mode.

Southern based media, whilst being very visible in the country, is not actually THE country....

......ask any northern / scottish hill dweller if they panic at -3 and I would put money on a different answer...

now when I lived darn sarf, that was another matter

-3c in damp Vancouver feels far colder than -20c here in dry Kamloops.

Before you went to Canada, you would have agreed and felt bloody cold. It is only with hindsight and experience that it does not.

Forecasters believe the cold temperatures could bring snow to northern and eastern parts of the UK next week


It is really foggy here, can't remember the last time it was this bad, and everything is white because it's frozen. Hope we get snow soon

Wrapped up its fine here in the UK its very damp, give us some snow and we can really have something to panic about
