Will be having our tea at the Keg tonight as a mate's mate who I did a favour for in January has just dropped off a gift certificate for $150.

I don't like the mushroom neptune so went with the scallops and bacon. But I did opt for the NY strip as recommended. The first one was horrible so sent it back, the second one was much better. But with the bottle of wine and the copious cocktails HID knocked back, I had to put in another $30 on top of the gift card. Still lot so fun watching Canadians scoff their food down, plus our waitress with no sense of irony, was apoplectic that she had to work which meant sh couldn't go to the Justin Bieber concert. Most entertaining.

Sounds like a good night on all fronts- we entertained a UK based nephew pup who says cool and awesome a lot but despite that, I still like him a lot. Went to an AsianFusion restaurant which had a weird mix of food but pretty good food for these parts. Youngest puplet struggled as he was left to construct his own sushi without the instruction manual ... Weird It was entertaining
Shame you missed the Biebs

Very nice top sirloin steak - bargain, down to 5.29 lb - with a few roasted carrots.

I never realised roasted carrots (Pam sprayed) would be so nice.

Eenie menie, chili beanie, they had real nice lean ground beef on for $6.59/kg at Independent so I bought in, and it's chili con carne tonight.

Goat curry from the new take-away selling Caribbean food up the road.

A long time since I had one of those. Birthday seemed a good reason

Not enough meat but it was delicious.

Other than raw (or juiced) that's the only way I consume them. Although I do substitute olive oil for the Pam.

Not that I can recall, but that doesn't mean I haven't. It's probably good but when I try to imagine it I keep on seeing sweet & sour with pineapple or cherries.

I hesitate to say Luv-a-duck-as I seldom have the chance, but on this occasion I would say so, together with Many Happy Returns! I realy hope you had the day you deserved

One of my favourite meals...duck breast, gently blipped in a bit of citrus and lemony porty wine, can never be beaten. I prefer farmed duck...it isn't tough.

Hope you had a spectacular day
