I can assure you that the word has been used before your wife mentioned it. I use it all the time home and abroad when am doing warning orders, briefing Comd. There are a number of Brits around in the CF and it's not uncommon when we garther at the Mess to see all sort of accents and lingos flying around. Well of course the Canucks struggle with the Geordie, Scouse and Yorkshire folks accent

Wife's trade?

Ex-trade. She was a Log WO until she released. Now a civvy who behaves like a CWO.

How times change....

The coppers don't help the situation these days when videos show up on youtube of them beating up an inmate, getting a BJ in a parking lot et al

Not all coppers are like that of course

"Bloody" is an appropriate word. She specialises in kicking ass (Captains are her speciality).

It seems to me that Canadians do seem obsessed with peoples' bottoms. It's all "I'm going to kick some ass," "That's a great bit of ass" "That hauls ass" "Get your ass in there," etc. It can't be healthy.

That's because compared to most British women, Canucks actually have some "junk in the trunk". Well of course ethnic background plays a part

No one likes a pancake-like ass on a lass

Like someone once said

It's what Life is all about..
Your either covering it,
laughing it off,
kicking it,
kissing it like some people do,
busting it,
or
trying to get some of it

I was watching the derby a couple of seasons ago (United v city) with my boss (who's unfortunately a city fan), in the company of several Canadians.

I have never seen so many shocked and appalled facial expressions gathered in one room before.

Happened to me. We were telling jokes and someone wanted to hear an offensive joke and mistakenly I obliged. They shouldn't have asked if they didn't like the response.
