Then when you do find it, it's nowhere near where you had visualized it! I think the same thing is happening with this "Mallows" thing. I IMAGINE I know it by a different name, but chances are....!
Anyways, Thanks for all you help and suggestions! IF I do find the name I imagine I know them by, I WILL post it ( just for giggles!)
I seem to remember things called Mallows or Marshmallows - basically a Tunnock's Teacake by a different name. Can't remember who made the ones my mum used to buy - may have been Jacobs or McVities, but they came in a flat box wrapped in cellophane, rather than individually wrapped like Tunnock's.

Wikipedia has a bunch of names from around the world, but only mentions Teacakes in the UK section: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chocola...hmallow_treats

Further googling has revealed the answer. Jacobs Marshmallows - apparently they were advertised by a cartoon dormouse with the catchphrase "every one's a fluffy one." Can't say I remember that, but there are several references to it on the Interweb-thingy so it must be true....

Tesco also have their own brand. Sorry for such a frivilous question, but I have went TOTALLY blank on the name, and can't find it online ! HELP Please before divorce sets in!!

Could also be yo-yo's, which I think were slightly bigger than Viscounts, and nicer too. I loved staying at my nan's because she'd always put a yo-yo in my lunchbox - mmmm

LOL! Viva Puffs is exactly what I'm thinking of, but by a different name. I'm laughing coz I came home from work this evening and the O/H had bought Viva puffs and left them on the counter along with the message, 'these are what you're talking about, now get over it!" Well, yes they are what I'm talking about, but I'm STILL not over it!! Waaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!
