Straw Poll - Salary

Dear me .... came on here today with a simple question, looking for a simple answer. Nothing to do with how long is a piece of string, so not sure how you come up with that one.
I get interesting and informative answers from most other people on this forum, but you jump in every time and spoil it for me. Not sure why?[I'm "nice" too by the way].
When I try and be specific, you shoot me down, so I try again with a simple question and once again you do the same. There's just no pleasing you is there.
Maybe I'd be better off finding myself another forum.

Every time????
You have 86 posts in however many threads and Ive replied to two that seemed hard for me to help with as they lacked context.
If you want to go, go, if you want to stay, stay, but there is always the ignore function... Frankly I wish more people would use it. It would make my life easier.

LOL...you know what I meant
At least I think you can ignore viewing my posts in the forum...But if I have some instructions with my "mod" hat on I'll generally be coming knocking on the door by private message anyway...

I'm anticipating a 50% cut in income this year, along with protracted arguments with the tax bods about instalments for 2009, which will be based on my 2008 income. What little hair I have left will, I fear, become much greyer than it already is.

Oakvillian put it very well.
Give us some context and perhaps we can give an answer that has some relevance.

But sorry, too late now
You have to see and read all our drivel.

They don't do well with the idea that, just because one has a huge tax bill, it doesn't follow that one has the income to pay that bill. They're really not very nice to deal with.
