Default Steve Ignorant

Just got a ticket for Toronto:

Saw him in London and brought back many happy memories. Also playing Montreal (but not Vancouver). Any Crass fans in TO?

I just moved to Toronto from Vancouver (I am from the UK). I love Crass so will be going to this.

Cheers for the tip.

I had to google this. Music for middle aged wannabe or one-time anarchists then? How dreadfully right on for you.

That's also true of Chumbawumba but I bet when you get knocked down you get right up again.

I've got no doubt........but if my reading of wikiwossname is correct, Mr Ignorant and Crass are rather more earnest about anarchy etc than the one hit wumba's.

More a reminder of a bygone youth (see other thread for more information). Crass were a very special band and Steve still sounds good.

Of course if you had to google this, then you probably shouldn't worry too much

I'm a little too young & liked my punk more mainstream. I'm sure you'll enjoy yourself though.

I'm a bit less sure of this. I don't go to many gigs and when I do I generally end up wishing I was at home watching TV. In England you would know that most of the audience will also be slightly sad, nostalgic, harmless. middle-aged blokes. Here, I just don't know...

Not sure if anyone apart from myself and richard had tickets but the gig has been postponed. Seems there is a problem with visas for the USA. Having been sent to US secondary inspection recently it only makes my profound dislike for the USA greater.

I always think of Crass as mainstream punk, in that I think of them as the quintessential punk band, at least for that slightly later 78/79 generation.
Glad to get a heads-up about this as the tour includes Seattle
