OK sir!

One thing I really hate about this site is everyone is so quick to judge. I have never gloated about it I simply said what happened and the fine I got.

It seems to me that operating a vehicle in a forward gear at less than the posted speed limit inconveniences your fellow motorists and is rude in the manner of not shovelling the sidewalk or not cleaning up after a dog. I'm sorry that you got a ticket. I commend you in your efforts not to clutter the road.

Anyone who comes on here and says they never speed is either a liar, or rides Ttc (oops no they are nuts drivers) maybe a bicyclist then.

Just because you ain't been caught don't mean ya don't.

No it doesn't. Slow drivers "kills" 'cus us speeders take risks trying to get out from behind them.

There's going a few clicks over and then there is dangerous driving. 60% over in a school zone is lunacy in my view. On the TCH many drivers are doing 10-20% over, very few are doing 60% over (160kph!).

I heard that once an officer catches you going above 135kph he is within his rights to take your licence - not sure how true this is but needless to say I have never gone above this, paying a fine is one thing but having the licence removed is just not worth the risk.

At 50 over, they keep your car.

Do they keep the loan payment as well then?

They have the option to do so but I can say for certain that, if you're driving a pastel Beetle convertible, they don't.

I didn't know pastel Bettle convertibles could go that fast

Not with the big fluffy dog dangling over the side, he's not aerodynamic.

To answer your question about staying within the Ontario speed limits.

You would probably piss off 99% of the population of drivers in Ontario.

Why???? they all drive slowly there as well.... or if they do go past you like their arrrrse is on fire they get 10 meters ahead of you pull in front of you then slow back down to 98. :banghead:
