Stay classy.

Well, for starters, until I saw this thread I had never heard of him, so it probably increased his profile very considerably.

How can you have never heard of him? Are you in Canada? Or a missionary in some country with no access to Radio or TV ?

I'm not in Canada. I don't watch TV, and don't spend hours surfing random news reports. I guess you might say I'm in a third world country. ..... Google my location, under my Avatar.

It's not only a few specific locations, it is also a euphemism for "The South", which is viewed by much of the rest of the US, but especially the liberal heartlands of New England, and West Coast, as poor and unsophisticated.

OK Glad thats sorted then

Just to get you up to speed then, he is a Canadian Rap singer who flew to the moon in a helium balloon so he could make an out of this world, solo music cover Album. Sher only made it to the space station but still managed to duo with the Rap star on two of the cover songs.

He returned 10:30 last night, and we now await the new album release date...

I heard of this man's every movement, as I'm sure every parent of a school aged adolescent in Canada has. He seems to have galvanised the kids and excited them about space, which is no bad thing. I'm also pleased that someone quite so 'elderly' (53!!) (yes, I remember it well!) got to have a crack at it, and that at such a great age he even managed to Tweet about it.

Cher, you illiterate. But as Kevin O'Leary said tonight, he's creating a brand for himself.

Probably only in Canada though.
