This has been a nice fall so far....not even the peak that should have snow by now has gotten any.

Tuesday afternoon it was 29C with the humidex in St John's. This morning it was a crisp 8C but bright & will be in double digits for the afternoon. Fall is being good to us so far. Makes up for a lousy July!

We're offered the first proper frost. That'll get me off me arse and shifting the eight yards or so of topsoil that's in a pile before it all freezes and is there for the winter. Fortunately, toiling like, er, immigrants, last weekend finished all the groundwork for the building project du jour. October is a killer busy month for outdoor stuff.

Hmm..not sure which weather forecast you are reading. I'm in Ottawa and we are supposed to get to +10 and in Toronto to +13.

8c here today... We get Bristol's sparkly thing and rain, with 2c tomorrow :(
