We are used to seeing the U.S flag being treated this way, but to see the Union Flag getting the same treatment, is just not cool at all.

Now we shouldn't lump everyone together here in that country, it's probably just the work of a few fundamentalists and nutters

Yeah, this. Who cares if they burn a flag - as long as it's their property who gives a shit - in fact supplying flags for crazies to burn might be a good business. And, if you are offended - the crazies win.

It was the attack on the British Embassy in Iran, the embassy has now closed and all Iranian diplomats slung out of Britain and their Embassy closed.

And because the Saudi kingdom is secure a balance of power is maintained. I'll take a wild guess and say Iran was at war with Iraq for 10 yrs (?) and didn't lose. I think the implication is that the poster thinks we are all pinko liberals with no respect for queen and country and as such there is no point expecting people here to talk about how disrespectful burning the union jack is.

It's a form of protest. Not something I would do, but people are free to protest like this in a truly free country, or even Iran.

Don't get me wrong, if someone did that in my country, I'd escort them to the nearest airport lol, but they can do what they want in their own country, doesn't bother me, pretty pathetic really.

Any time our country jumps in with the USA to fight some cave dwellers, I don't rush out and find that countries flag and a box of matches, I grab some popcorn and switch on the telly like everyone else
