Sorry ~ couldn't help myself
......... how's this one?One evening a Husband, thinking he was being funny, said to his wife, 'Perhaps we should start washing your clothes in 'Slim Fast'. Maybe it would take a few inches off of your butt!'
His wife was not amused, and decided that she simply couldn't let such a comment go un rewarded.
The next morning the husband took a pair of underwear out of his drawer. 'What the heck is this?' he said to himself as a little 'dust' cloud appeared when he shook them out.
'Mandy', he hollered into the bathroom, 'Why did you put Talcum Powder in my underwear?'
She replied with a snicker. 'It's not talcum powder; it's 'Miracle Grow'!!!!!!

[QUOTE=bananahammock;7330788]Mildly curious to know if other peeps weeks are as crazy as mine
I work as an EA in a high school, in the 'skills for life/alternate' program ...... we have a mixed bunch of students in the class with all manner of different needs including Down syndrome/ADD/ADHD/FAS/Autism/severe behaviour/physical disabilities/hearing loss/memory loss/severe anxiety & goodness knows what else ~ [QUOTE]
Hi Bananahammock
Your post made me laugh... and I needed that as I had the week from hell!!
I have a son (15) who i've just pulled from the local regular school and placed him in an Alternate School. Jeez I wish I had someone like you around here. He probably has 80% of the problems you describe and he's going through some assessments (which are a nightmare). I seem to get the brunt of all his venting when things/routines change or he's generally pissed and without getting into it, I had a shite week.
We live on a hillside development and we seem to have the only mole on the hillside and our front lawn has started to look like a warzone while the neighbours don't have one hump (why our lawn I ask myself?). Any suggestions with what works and what doesn't please...
We had our 1st Canniversary on Friday but didn't feel much in the mood for celebrating. Here's hoping the next year will be better and far less stressful...
