Our dog is not happy, but won't keep the silly booties on, just bites them off then wanders around with one paw in the air at a time! And he really needs to 'go', if you get what I mean !

Yes 30 below at 9 a.m. here and we havent moved any snow from drive for around 4 days! I will have to go out on Tuesday though for food so hope no more falls between now and then, perhaps I will buy a snow blower whilst I am at it! Blade attachment for our sit on mower still in box and will probably remain so until the summer (why did we buy the blooming thing????) :)

Promised storm for last night fizzled, 2 maybe 3 inches of snow this morning. Got up early but it wasn't enough to warrant clearing.

Horrid here today. It's snowing horizontally. I'm so glad I don't commute.

We had that earlier in the week. We need an anemometer (or whatever they're called) so we can know if it really is the windiest day ever. The roof stayed on, that pleased me.

Sounds lovely.

The weather here today is simply pants. At some point I will have to go out and move the pants off the driveway and onto the lawn, which is already looking rather like the Matterhorn. I am more than a little pleased that Souvette continues to go to work by bus.

Well it warmed up lovely to around -14 yesterday, sun was shining, with just a few light flurries during the day.

It started snowing around 10pm and so far doesn't seem to have stopped much, hubby shovelled quickly this morning as it was still snowing (we have learnt to shovel before too many people have walked on the stuff - it's easier). It's snowing quite hard now though and the path needs shovelling again already:blink: Maybe one of the 3 snowblowers we have will make it out of the garage:confused:

Pleased to report Henry will keep his boots on. I lay them out and say come on Henry get your boots on, he looks at me and runs away - same as when I say Henry lets get you brushed......He then looks at me again and wanders over and then stands there while I pop the boots on him. He still does the 'How can I keep all 4 paws up?' dance for a bit then once he's walking he's ok.

Oh apparently it's -14 with a -20 windchill this morning, didn't seem that cold when I was walking Henry earlier.

Halifax went from +11 degs yesterday to -6 this morning and it's snowing quite heavy here in Bedford, although they reckon it will turn to rain later. The jump in temperature is weird - we had +16 last week, going down to -14 overnight:eek:

I have a deep freeze certificate that says I actually stayed in Calgary from January 8th to 30th 1969 when the temperature remained below zero for 23 consecutive days (except 2 above on January 23). A that time this was the second coldest month on record since 1885. On January 30th the record low was 36 below as mean temperature for 24 hour period.

It looks as though I might be collecting another certificate soon !!!!!!!! :)
