I spent many of my happy teenage years watching the epic battles between Steve Davis, Alex Higgins et. al. Good to see Steve 'interesting' Davis doing so well. Shame we don't still have the finest ever Canadian sportsman still with us - "Big Bill" Werbeniuk. If only more Canadians were like him.

Dad was a snooker fan as was I, he played snooker I played pool, I thoroughly enjoyed the time he took me to his club to play snooker, two very different games that have a lot of similarities, for me it was just a great daughter/dad date.
I grew up watching Steve Davis etc, they were cool.

When I sold a car I accidently left my cue in the back ... I took it as a sign to devote more time to other pursuits.
Not played for at least 15 years now but I'm first on the pool table in a bar

At the risk of seeming dated. The Centennial, over the chicken place opposite Sam the Record Man on Yonge, used to have a great 10 reds knock out tournament on Sunday afternoons. Winning several hundred dollars for coming third was the highlight of my career. I then switched to 8 and 9 ball which was easier money, if more likely to result in bruises. Losing the kids' winter coat money at 8 ball was the lowlight of that phase.
