AmyDavid - closing that thread was a total over-reaction. Not sure to what, mind you, because there was nothing remotely offensive in the 3 postings.

The IF thread was closed as it was deemed to be taking the proverbial.
There was no need to start another thread on which to have the same discussions which have popped up on a couple of other threads this past week and are now in the Take it Outside forum. :)

Why are you always having a dig at the mods? Give us a break please.
The threads in question were made to wind up another member, we let it go on for a bit then decided to draw it to a close. Stuff like that is alright up to a point but we have to stop it eventually, cause once it goes on too long its not really funny anymore.

Well thats the point really, you are not privvy to what goes on behind the scenes nor what has happened in other threads that tie things like this together. Hence the reason we make the decisions that we do. We don't do it to wind people up, upset people or just because we are bored. Promise.
I still puzzled how an innocuous thread like Mornington Crescent can be deemed offensive or even a discussion. It's a nonsense game. |

How were my intentions in making the threads determined? "behind the scenes"?? You have decided that I meant to wind someone up, I have stated quite clearly that wasn't my intention.

Now, what about the other thread, and the accusation that it was started with malice in mind? |

IMO the short thread veered off the rails at the second post; I think it was a oblique reference to a, then recent, post on another thread. What was wrong with the Mornington Crescent one is anyone's guess.
