Last one we bought was a Miele from Cosco and it's great - reliable, good suction, solid built. We have a messy house with two messy cats and it cleans up perfectly. Hepa bags, variable speed, etc. and best of all, when you press the control to suck the power cable back in, it goes all the way back in without having to push the last bits in yourself.
+1 Miele makes a quality product. The trick is to not pay $500 for one if you can help it.
