For 47 years, he worked for one company, in the same building, in the same office, behind the same table, sitting on the same chair.
He only retired because the company were changing buildings and moving from pen & paper to computer systems and he refused to learn computers.

This small business in Red Deer illegally brought in foreign workers by deception or coercion.

Harsh treatment of workers by Red Deer motel operators results in human traffick
Red Deer couple charged with human trafficking at central Alberta hotel | Globalnews.ca
And apparently this ins't unique and there are other investigations on going in Alberta for the same type of thing.
Makes you wonder how much of this exists in Canada without anyone knowing?

If I had 13 million, I'd buy a 90 room hotel that's for sale down the street from Disneyland. Would have the revenue to hire managers and pretty much be a silent owner.
14 million is a bit more then I have at the moment.
At an average rate of 90 per night with 80% occupancy, appears about 2 million in annual revenue.
I'd venture the daily average rate is higher though.
No clue if it makes money though, but its about the only time I'd want to do hotel biz, if I was the owner but I'd want a property with enough revenue to have a manager to deal with day to say stuff.
Just a dream.
I am kind of amazed how hotels can survive on fairly small revenue for a high cost biz, mine only does about 1 million in revenue.
My hotel our hydro and gas alone runs 10,000 a month.
Crazy.
