Adopting such playground tactics seems to be one of very few ways to get through the playground nature of the mayor's brain. Ford has been given every opportunity to behave in a responsible and mature way, but has proven to be more stupid and childish than ever. His (and his brother's) tactic of trying to turn the tables and attack others is only a whisker away from the "I know you are, you said you are, but what am I?" debating style of the average five-year-old. I actually think the rest of council have behaved pretty well and handled the situation with surprising dignity, all things considered.

Other than the media frenzy, the best backlash could be if council sat like dummies becoming totally inactive, not presenting any issues for debate or motion or tabling whatever. Let Ford sit daft & stupid. If and or when Ford wants to excite council they simply ignore everything ford does or has to say. He needs a quorum or someone to disagree with him. If he doesn't have that he has nothing.

Let the day to day city business run, manage the money & the police service ignore Ford & life in TO will be honky dory
